5-4-3 Double Play

Dr. Zhivago was on TCM last night. The wife and I were happy that we were finally going to get the chance to record it with our not-so-user-friendly RCA DCR 8000. It works when it wants to work and yesterday, it wanted to work. Unfortunately, my wife had reminded our cable box about another movie that came on at 7:35. Yikes! The last hour of our recording has this giant reminder taking up the entire screen. Look for the poet to return in August on TCM.

Spider-man 2 continues to dominate the box office scene.

Word is
McG is out of the next Superman project, but Michael Bay might be in. Warner Brothers really needs to get it together on this one and just go with Kevin Smith's Superman Lives script. This flick has had more twists and turns than any I can recall. Check out what Smith had to say about his misadventure with Warner Brothers on An Evening with Kevin Smith. Dreadful.

On a sad note,
Weezie from the Jeffersons(Isabel Sanford) has passed away.

Paris Hilton is gonna give it up... for charity this time instead of Rick Salomon.

The Desert Reel Film Festival is now accepting submissions. I'm on the submissions committee, so please! No crap!

And that's a 5-4-3 Double Play!
